Probably because of what you already said. Sort of. Thinking about it, it isn't really that she's already a recolor of another pony, that was never a problem before, it's more that all of her logical palette swap choices (Colgate, Sparkler, etc.) have already been used.

Another reason, and it kind of pains me to say it, I didn't really think Lyra was important enough. Sure she's popular, but at least the others have some kind of significance, in the show she would always be a background pony. Derpy is an exception, I'm finding it kind of hard to explain, but Lyra doesn't have the same iconic nature that Derpy does.

However, that does NOT mean I don't like Lyra in any way. And it isn't like it's physically impossible from recoloring her if I wanted to. It's just that I didn't think she was... 'as' important. Lyra is popular, but not popular enough to be in a fake alternate costume set for a fictional roster which I just made up. : (

Thanks for your suggestions, but if I had enough references or a 'theme' to work with them like the others, I would have done them already, especially the pets. (Not that I wouldn't mind recoloring them.) Screwball has almost nothing (though I would definitely have a set for her if she did.) and the other nurses already have their color schemes for Redheart so what would be the point? I don't know the old generation well enough so there's nothing I can do about that.

In retrospect however, there are plenty of birds in the series for costumes for Philomena. I'll think about it.
